Gophers Wrap Up at Mason-Dixon Collegiate
WAYNESBORO, Pa. - The Goucher College men's golf team finished tied for 16th out of 19 teams at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate co-hosted by McDaniel College and Gettysburg College that wrapped up on Sunday at Waynesboro Country Club. After an opening round 310 on Saturday, the Gophers recorded a 313 on Sunday.
Sophomore Riley Ruby turned in his second straight two-over 74 on Sunday to finish at 148 for the tournament, good for tied for 23rd in the 98-player field.
Gidi Katz improved by nine shots on Sunday to card a 78 on Sunday and register a two-day total of 165. Tyler Lynch was Goucher's next-highest finisher, as he shot 80 on Sunday to finish at 158 for the weekend.
Andy Hill Garcia recorded an 81 on Sunday and finished at 159 over the two days, while Mikolaj Pula finished at 161 after also carding a second round 81.
Goucher returns to action Thursday, competing in The Bear hosted by Ursinus College at Turtle Creek Golf Course in Limerick, Pennsylvania.
