Gophers Sit Fifth After Landmark Preview Opening Round
SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, Pa. - The Goucher College men's golf team sits fifth out of eight schools after the first round of the Landmark Conference Preview Saturday at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort. The Gophers turned in a round of 315, just 11 shots back of leader Scranton, which sits at 304.
Elizabethtown (305), Moravian (309), and Drew (313) sit second through fourth at the top of a tight leaderboard.
Junior Andy Hill Garcia sits in a five-way tie for seventh after carding a five-over 77 on Saturday, five shots behind leader John Harrison of Etown who finished at even par. Sophomore Tyler Lynch finished one shot back of Garcia and is in a five-way tie for 12th.
Riley Ruby and Mikolaj Pula each shot 80 on Saturday, while Gidi Katz turned in an 82.
The second and final round of the Landmark Preview is set for Sunday.
