Gophers Finish Fifth in Alvernia Spring Invitational
MOHNTON, Pa. - The Goucher men travled to participate in the Alvernia Spring Invitational on the Ledgerock Golf Course.
The Gophers finished fifth out of nine teams with a total score of 648. This totaled after shooting 317 in the first round, and 331 in the second.
Tyler Lynch tied for sixth overall, and led the team with a 157 after two rounds. This came from an 82 on the first round, and a 75 on the second.
Riley Ruby tied for 16th after a 74 in the first round, which led the team on day one, and an 87 in the second. He totaled a 161 during the invitational. Gidi Katz followed closely behind after finishing with a 78 in round one and an 85 in round two, giving him a 163 total.
Mikolaj Pula tied for 32nd with a 169 (85/84), while Mattias Hammendorp tied for 39th with a 173 (83/90).
The Gophers are back in action at Blackrock Golfcourse in Hagerstown, Md. to compete at the Catholic Cardinal Classic on Saturday, April 5th and Sunday, April 6th.
