Gophers End Conference Championships in Fourth
DELAWARE, Pa. - The Goucher Men's Golf team finished Day Two of the Landmark Conference Championships in fourth place with a score of 618(+42). This came after finishing with a 299 on day one, and a 319 on day two.
The Gophers finished behind Drew, who won the championship by one, Scranton, and Moravian, who overtook Goucher with their day two score of 311.
Senior Gidi Katz led the Gophers, finishing sixth overall, with a score of 150. He shot a 72(E) in the first round, and finished with a 78(+6) today.
Both Riley Ruby and Tyler Lynch tied for 10th overall with a 155. Ruby earned this with a 78(+6) on day one, and a 77(+5) today. While Lynch shot a 74(+2) on day one and an 81(+9) today.
Andy Hill Garcia finished tied for 19th, with a 158 overall. This came from a 75(+3) in round one, and an 83(+11) in round two. Mikolaj Pula completed the Goucher team with a 31st place finish, and a 163(+19). This came from a 79(+7) in round one and an 84(+12) today.
With their finishes in the compeition, Katz earned First Team All-Conference. This is the first time Katz earned All-Conference in his career at Goucher. While Ruby and Lynch finished with second team All-Conference. This marks Ruby's second All-Conference award.
