SALISBURY, MD — Goucher's all-time record against Salisbury dropped to 0-22 today when the Gophers fell to the top-seeded Sea Gulls, 19-2, in the semifinals of the 2007 Capital Athletic Conference championship tournament.

SALISBURY, MD — Goucher's all-time record against
Salisbury dropped to 0-22 today when the Gophers fell to the
top-seeded Sea Gulls, 19-2, in the semifinals of the 2007 Capital
Athletic Conference championship tournament.
The Sea Gulls (17-0) unleashed a total of 18 shots in the opening
period, which ended with Salisbury ahead 7-0. The Gophers trailed
8-0 before finally getting on the scoreboard on a goal by
Dave Duff (Westwood, MA/Suffield Academy) 1:58
into the second quarter. By halftime, however, the Sea Gulls had
head coach Kyle Hannan's squad in a 14-1 hole.
Casey Hughes (Granite, MD/Mt. Hebron) tallied
Goucher's only goal of the second half.
Kylor Berkman was the leading scorer for the victorious Sea Gulls
as he finished with five goals and a pair of assists.
In defeating the Gophers (6-8) for the ninth straight year in the
CAC playoffs, the Sea Gulls out-shot Goucher, 57-22.
