MADISON, N.J. - Brian Hoge (Crofton, MD/Arundel), who propelled Goucher to a thrilling 7-6 victory over Scranton two days ago by scoring an unassisted goal in the third minute of overtime, today was selected Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for March 31-April 6 in the Landmark Conference.
Hoge contributed two goals to the OT win over the Royals. His first put them ahead, 3-1, midway through the second quarter, and his second allowed Goucher to tie Drew for first place in the Landmark Conference. It was the junior midfielder's third game-winning goal of the season.
Earlier in the week, Hoge scored twice in a 7-6 (2OT) loss to Swarthmore.
Through 10 games this season, Hoge ranks second on the team in goals (17) and third in points (19).
