Dunn Earns Recognition for Performance Against Royals

Landmark's Weekly Award Goes to Team Leader in Caused Turnovers

MADISON, N.J. — Goucher's Justin Dunn (Denver, Colo./Mullen) was selected Defensive Player of the Week in the Landmark Conference today for his performance in a 4-3 victory over Scranton.

Dunn, who has started all 12 games this season for a team ranked 24th in Division III in scoring defense, was credited with four caused turnovers in the Scranton game, boosting his team-leading total for the season to 36. The junior defenseman also collected three ground balls.

Until the Gophers, who now share first place in the Landmark Conference with Drew, defeated the Royals on Saturday, they had been 0-34 all-time in games in which they scored four or fewer goals.

The award Dunn received covers the seven-day period beginning April 12.
