TOWSON, Md. — Today, the Landmark Conference named Connor Mishaw (Wilmington, Del./Brandywine) the Defensive Player of the Week in the sport of men's lacrosse for the week covering March 17-24.
In Goucher's only game of the week, Mishaw helped lead the Gophers to an 11-5 victory over conference rival Drew. Five goals marks the fewest goals the Rangers have ever scored in a Landmark Conference game.
Playing all 60 minutes in net, the senior captain stopped 13 of the 18 shots on goal he faced, including six in the fourth quarter.
Currently, Mishaw leads all Landmark goalies in saves overall (111), goals against average in conference (3.05), and save percentage in conference (.778).
Last season, the first-team All-Landmark goalie was third in the nation in both goals against average and save percentage.
Since taking over between the pipes as a sophomore for the Gophers, the team is 12-1 in Landmark play.
On Friday, Goucher hosts Susquehanna in a game featuring the only 2-0 teams in the conference.
