TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College Men's Lacrosse team (1-2) fell to Randolph-Macon (1-3), 12-5, on Saturday afternoon at Beldon Field.
How It Happened:
- Senior midfielder Pierce Bailey (Miami, Fla.) found the back of the net twice and had a ground ball. For Bailey, it marked the second time in three games on the year he has scored a pair of goals, as he did so in Goucher's season opener last Sunday vs. Hood.
- Senior goaltender Matt Messerle (Limerick, Pa.) had 15 saves in cage for the Gophers, continuing his sterling play in the early part of the season for Goucher. In all, Messerle has already made 45 saves in three games for the Gophers.
- Goucher's man down defense held Randolph-Macon to one goal out of seven man ups.
Up Next:
The Gophers travel to Westminster, Md. to face off against McDaniel College Wednesday. Things get underway at 7 p.m.
