Goucher's three other selections to the All-Conference Team were second-team picks and were all members of the Gopher senior class. They were midfielder Pierce Bailey (Miami, Fla.), defender Peter Cost (Berwyn, Pa.) and goalie Matt Messerle (Limerick, Pa.).
All four selections were a first in the careers for each Goucher student-athlete, as the group led the Gophers to a 10-6 overall mark and a 4-2 ledger in the Landmark Conference in the 2018 regular season. The team has also qualified for the Landmark Conference Playoffs for the first time since 2014 and captured double-digit wins in a season for the first time since 2012.
Woodson has been the spark for the Gophers offense all season long, ending the season with a team and conference-best 27 assists. Woodson, who also scored 16 goals to end the regular year with a point total of 43, had multiple assists in nine games throughout the course of the year. For his efforts, he was named the Landmark's Offensive Athlete of the Week on April 23 after matching a career-high with four assists in a 9-5 win at Drew.
