Goucher Men's Lacrosse Picked Fourth In Landmark Conference Preseason Poll
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Goucher College men's lacrosse team has been tabbed to finish fourth in the Landmark Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, announced on Wednesday.
Elizabethtown was the unanimous selection to win the Landmark Conference after receiving 60 points and first-place votes by the other six teams in the league. The University of Scranton received the other first-place nod to rank second in the poll with 39 points while Susquehanna (38 points), Goucher (23 points), Moravian (15 points), Catholic (13) and Drew (8 points) rounded out the seven-team poll.
Under the direction of seventh-year head coach Brian Kelly, the Gophers look to return to the Landmark Conference Tournament for the second-straight season and the fourth time under Kelly. Goucher finished 10-6 overall and 4-2 in league play and lost to eventual league champion Elizabethtown in the Landmark Conference semifinals.
The Gophers open the season at Gettysburg on February 20. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
