TOWSON, Md. - Visiting Scranton scored four goals in the game's first three minutes and never looked back as it recorded a 28-3 Landmark Conference men's lacrosse victory over Goucher College at Beldon Field Saturday afternoon.

First Quarter

  • Scranton (8-5, 2-2 Landmark) scored 51 seconds into the game on a Chris Crapanzano tally.
  • The Royals scored four times in the first 2:58 and held a 10-0 lead after the first quarter.
  • Scranton outshot Goucher (2-11, 1-3) 19-6 in the first.

Second Quarter

  • Scranton scored twice in the first 1:26 of the second.
  • The Gophers got on the board when Jack McDermott (Wilmington, Del./The White Mountain School) scored 12:11 before halftime.
  • The guests extended their lead to 19-1 at the break.

Third Quarter

  • Scranton had the first six goals of the third.
  • Ben Smith (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) converted a man-up opportunity for Goucher with 43 seconds to go in the period.

  • The guests tacked on three goals in the first 3:31 of the fourth.
  • Jared Halverson (Durham, N.C./Charles E. Jordan) recorded his first goal of the game with 6:34 left.
