TOWSON, Md. - Visiting Moravian University dug out of a 3-0 first quarter hole and went on to defeat Goucher College 10-7 in Landmark Conference men's lacrosse Wednesday afternoon at Beldon Field.
- Goucher (6-5, 0-3 Landmark) opened up a 3-0 lead just over 10 minutes into the game.
- Holden Vance opened the scoring at the 10:36 mark, while Jack McDermott scored off a feed from Jacob Morgan at the 6:44 mark.
- Tyler May made it 3-0 with 4:55 on the clock.
- Moravian (6-5, 2-1) scored twice in the final 1:41 of the quarter to pull within 3-2.
- The Greyhounds tied the game on a Dan Kelly goal just over five minutes into the second.
- May's second goal of the game with 6:27 left pushed the hosts back into the lead.
- Connor James scored twice in the final 4:23 of the half to put Moravian up 5-4 at the break.
- Moravian scored three times in the first 5:46 of the second half to open an 8-4 lead.
- James Dugan scored on a Morgan assist with 6:39 on the clock to stop the Greyhound run.
- Morgan entered the scoring column with 4:06 left with Dugan assisting.
- The guests reclaimed a three-goal advantage with 9:05 remaining.
- Dugan scored with 7:57 remaining to make it 9-7, but Moravian scored just over a minute later to close out the scoring.
- Jack Smith made 14 saves for Goucher as he reached double-digit saves for the seventh time this season.
- Moravian outshot Goucher 44-31 and won 16 of the game's 20 faceoffs.
- Dugan and May each finished with two goals.
- Morgan added a goal and two assists to extend his goal scoring streak to 17 games dating back to last season.
- Vance and Sean Nolan each had a pair of caused turnovers.
- Goucher heads to Wilkes on Saturday for a 1 pm Landmark Conference contest.
