TOWSON, Md. - Catholic University scored the game's first six goals en route to a 14-9 Landmark Conference men's lacrosse victory over Goucher College Wednesday evening at Beldon Field.
- The Cardinals (7-6, 3-2 Landmark) got on the board 4:34 into the contest.
- Catholic outshot Goucher (7-6, 1-4) 13-3 in the first quarter with Gopher goalie Jack Smith making five saves.
- Goucher's first goal at the 12-minute mark came from Jack McDermott., followed by a man-up goal by Tyler May with just under eight minutes left on the clock.
- Catholic scored three straight goals to make it 9-2.
- Jacob Morgan scored with 2:35 left in the half off a McDermott assist to make it 9-3 at the break.
- The game remained 9-3 until the 5:40 mark when Catholic's Jack Dwyer scored.
- May's second man-up goal of the game at 4:20 made it 10-4, with Sean Nolan assisting.
- The Cardinals took an 11-4 lead into the final frame.
- Goucher scored five times in the final frame, with Morgan scoring three times.
