TOWSON, Md. - The Hood College Blazers (2-0 Overall) put together a strong defensive effort to hold the Goucher College Gophers (2-1 Overall) at home in the 15-4 non-conference matchup victory.
- Hood began the scoring of the contest, under four minutes in.
- Jacob Morgan added the fist goal for the Gophers after collecting the groundball off an offensive shot.
- The Blazers added the next three goals, before Milan Temple put one in the net off the assist from Gianni Karam.
- Goucher was held scoreless in the second quarter, despite outshooting Hood 10-8.
- Leuba of Hood recorded four saves against the Gophers in this quarter.
- Hood added the next five of their goals in this quarter, including one Man Up goal which came with 5:17 remaining in the quarter.
- Both the Goucher and Hood goalkeepers collected 3 saves this period.
- The Blazers added the first two goals of the fourth quarter, one at even strength and the other with the man advantage.
- Morgan broke the Gophers scoreless drought off an unassisted shot after intercepting the clear from the Blazers.
- Tyler May added to the scoreboard just 40 seconds later, with an assist from Scott Tayman.
- Morgan led the Gophers with two goals on the night.
- Jack Smith tallied nine saves in the 44:07 he played, before Josh Steinmiller came in and finished the game collecting two saves.
