Dominant Second Half Puts Gophers Over Pilgrims

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College Gophers (5-2 Overall) a dominant fourth quarter to pull ahead of the Pilgrims of New England College (3-1 Overall) Tuesday night in a 13-6 victory.
- The Gophers opened the scoring of the contest with a goal from Gianni Karam from Milan Temple (11:21).
- Karam scores the next two goals for the Gophers, with one coming from Scott Tayman on the man-advantage and the second from Temple.
- New England responds with just over three minutes remaining in the quarter to bring the score to 3-1.
- Tyler May adds a goal with seconds left on the clock from a Jacob Morgan pass.
- The second quater had the least scoring but added 15 groundballs and four saves across the teams.
- Karam and Morgan teamed up for the only goal with 4:31 on the clock.
- Just under five minutes into the quarter, Karam puts another in the net off a pass from Temple.
- The Pilgrims attempted a comeback scoring the next three goals to bring them within two (6-4).
- Sean Nolan the final goal of the quarter, from Karam with 2:07 left on the clock.
- The Gophers scored the first six goals of the final quarter, with Karam and Morgan teaming up once again for another finish.
