SCRANTON, Pa. - The Goucher College Gophers (6-4 Overall; 0-2 Conference) traveled to face the Scranton University Royals (3-8 Overall; 3-0 Conference) in a Landmark Conference matchup. The Royals pushed past the Gophers with a strong first and third quarter, leading them to a 23-4 victory.
- The Royals held the Gophers scoreless in the first quarter, notching their first goal at the 10:56 mark.
- Scranton added five more goals to give them the 6-0 lead heading into the second.
- Scranton opened the scoring of the second quarter, with Holmes and Dubas adding two more on the scoreboard for the Royals.
- The Gophers were able to break the scoreless drought with a goal from Gianni Karam off a Jacob Morgan assist (4:42).
- The Royals added one more before the quarter ended, giving them a 9-1 lead.
- Jack Murdaugh scored the lone goal for the Gophers in the third quarter with 13:07 on the clock.
- The Royals scored eight straight to build on their lead going into the final quarter.
- Just over three minutes into the final quarter, Karam and Morgan team up again to add another goal on the board for the Gophers.
- Scranton adds five more over the span of five minutes.
