Greyhounds Rally Back to Beat Gophers

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Moravian University Greyhounds (7-2 Overall; 3-0 Conference) used a strong second and third quarter to pull ahead and take down the Goucher College Gophers (6-5 Overall; 0-3 Conference) in a Landmark Conference matchup. The Greyhounds won 14-10.
- The Gophers opened the scoring in the game with Tyler May putting one in the next less than two minutes into the game.
- Jack Murdaugh added to the score for the Gophers just four minutes later on an unassisted goal.
- With 7:58 on the clock, Jacob Morgan finishes another to give the Gophers the 3-0 lead heading into the second quarter.
- Moravian kicked off the scoring of the second quarter just over a minute in.
- Scott Tayman and Morgan work together to add to the Gophers lead with 12:20 remaining.
- The Greyhounds score four striaght to give them the lead heading into the half. This included a man-up goal at the 3:37 mark.
- The Greyhounds found the back of the net twice within 30 seconds to open the third quarter.
- Milan Temple responded just 37 seconds later to bring the Gophers to five.
- Moravian added three more goals, which included a man-up goal (8:10).
- With 6:18 remaining in the quarter, Morgan adds another to end the Greyhound scoring streak.
- Kelly from the Greyhounds finished the third man advantage goal, giving Moravian a five goal lead.
- Gianni Karam scored an unassisted goal with 2:24 remaining in the quarter.
- Moravian ended with a goal that was scored with 13 seconds left on the clock.
- May opened the quarter again with an unassisted goal to finish his second of the night.
- Moravian scored after an almost five minute scoreless drought in the contest.

- The Greyhounds went 3-5 on the extra-man opportunities, while the Gophers went 1-3.
- In goal, Jack Smith recorded 12 saves, with five of those coming in the second quarter.
- Five Gophers caused a turnover in the contest, which was led by Sean Nolan who had two.
- Goucher hosts the Wilkes University Colonels on Saturday, April 5th at 1pm on Beldon Field.
