Bio

Mike Nugent is entering his first year as the Defensive Coordinator at Goucher College.

Born in Rancho Cucamonga, California, Nugent grew up and began his lacrosse career in Atlanta Ga. He played college lacrosse at NCAA Division-One member Mercer, where he was a four-year starter for the Bears as a Goalie. While at Mercer, Nugent was a three-time All-Conference selection, and a two-year team captain. He is Mercer's career leader in saves (641), saves per game (12.33), and saves percentage (.545).

Nugent has coached club lacrosse on the travel circuit for the last 3 years, with the Copperheads, LB3, and FCA. Mike also served as the Goalie Coordinator for DOCO Lacrosse in Denver, Colorado.

Nugent continues his professional lacrosse career, as well, as he is a member of Major League Lacrosse's (MLL) Denver Outlaws. He is Mercer’s first-ever professional lacrosse player.

While at Goucher Mike hopes to “elevate the level of lacrosse as well as the understanding for the game, all while mentoring and teaching student-athletes a good understanding for morality and life beyond lacrosse".
