BETHLEHEM, Pa. - All of the statistics suggested a close contest and that's just what the Goucher-Moravian game was today. The Greyhounds managed to protect a one-goal lead over the final 65:50 to earn a 1-0 victory over head coach Gary Dunda's Gophers.
Moravian (4-8, 1-2 Landmark) finished with a 12-11 advantage in shots, while Goucher held the upper hand in corner kicks, 4-2. Shots were five for each side in the second half with sophomore goalkeeper Justin Holbrook (Claymont, DE/Wilmington Friends School) needing to make a stop on each of the Greyhounds' attempts to keep the Gophers (3-7-1, 0-2-1 Landmark) within striking distance.
Holbrook finished with six saves.
The lone goal was scored at 34:10 by Michael Tarulli on a shot from just outside the 18-yard box.
