In the opening frame of the match, Wesley got off to a fast start, tallying a pair of goals in the first 21 minutes of regulation to take a 2-0 lead. That lead held through the rest of the first half, and eight minutes into the second half.
Finally, in the 53rd minute, junior Brandon Cohen (Redondo Beach, Calif.) scored the first goal of the season for Goucher, unassisted, to slice the Wesley lead in half at 2-1. But, the Wolverines were able to go back up two goals with a score in the 68th minute and never looked back the rest of the way in the two-goal win.
Elsewhere on the day for Goucher, senior Daniel Hendry (Lewisburg, Pa.) made five saves on the afternoon.
