Men's Soccer Falls on the Road at Elizabethtown in Landmark Conference Match
ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Goucher College men's soccer team struck first on the day at Elizabethtown, but the host Blue Jays roared back, scoring three goals in the first half and two more in the second to take a 5-1 win over the Gophers on Saturday in Landmark Conference action.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - The Goucher College men's soccer team struck first on the day at Elizabethtown, but the host Blue Jays roared back, scoring three goals in the first half and two more in the second to take a 5-1 win over the Gophers on Saturday in Landmark Conference action.
With the loss, Goucher dropped to 5-10-1 overall and 2-4 in the Landmark Conference, while Elizabethtown improved to 7-4-3 and 5-0-1 in the Landmark with the win.
In the opening half, Goucher came out and took the early edge, as first-year Jack Tchantchuing-Ngoko (Silver Spring, Md.) scored his seventh goal of the year off an assist from fellow first-year Zachary LaFaver (Hanover, Pa.) in the 11th minute to give the Gophers the early 1-0 lead.
Elizabethtown, however, attacked back, scoring goals in the 13th, 19th and 20th minutes to take a 3-1 lead into halftime. It was more of the same for Elizabethtown in the second half, as they added their final two goals in the 72nd and 80th minutes to take the game over the Gophers by four goals.
Overall, Elizabethtown outshot Goucher, 18-8, in the win, while both the Gophers and the Blue Jays took three corner kicks, apiece.
The Goucher College men's soccer team returns to action on Tuesday, traveling to Washington College for their final non-conference match of the year. Action gets underway at 7 p.m.
