ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Goucher College falls 2-1 to Moravian College in its season finale Landmark Conference men's soccer contest on Saturday.
Matthew Malhenzie (Etters, Pa./Red Land) turned a mistake by the Greyhound defender into a goal at the 26:24 mark for his third goal of the season. The freshman has posted all three of his goals in his last five matches.
The game ended was the final of the collegiate career of Brandon Cohen (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) and Dan Laurilliard (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna). Cohen, a two-time all-conference second-team selection, will go down as one of the best players in program history, finishing his career with 27 goals and 12 assists for 66 points to end tied with Chris Walton (1994-96) for fourth place on the program's all-time career goals and points list after starting all 67 games in his career. Laurilliard appeared in 71 games including 47 matches with 21 shots on goal in his career.
Cole Judkins (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) made three saves for the Gophers in the loss.
The Greyhounds scored two goals in the first half sandwiched in between Malhenzie's tally to win the victory.
Goucher finished the season 4-12-2 overall and 1-4-2 in league play.
