CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - First year Anthony Ketelsen recorded his first collegiate goal as the Goucher College men's soccer team posted its third-straight shutout, blanking Wilson College 2-0 at Kris's Meadow Wednesday afternoon.
- Goucher's (3-0-2) Jonathan Alvarado had the game's first shot in the 11th minute that was saved by Wilson (1-4) keeper Logan Neves.
- Gopher keeper Ale Sternini registered his first save of the contest in the 18th minute.
- With just under 24 minutes to play in the first stanza, Ketelson took a feed from Alvarado and fired a low shot past Neves.
- Paul Van Engeland put a shot on frame with 19 minutes left that was stopped by Neves.
- Neves made his final save of the first half on a shot by Eian Waples with 11 minutes remaining.
- Sternini made a save on a low Liam Yeatman bid 12 minutes into the second half.
- Just over a minute later, Aquila De Carvalho scored his third goal of the season with a shot that found the top left corner.
- De Carvalho put another shot on goal three minutes later.
- Jonathan Adima and Drew Gentile also tested Neves, with the Phoenix keeper making both saves.
- Elliot Bezdek and Flynn McNally had shots on goal late, along with Ketelson, but Neves stopped all three.
- Wilson had a shot go off the crossbar with two minutes remaining.
- Goucher outshot Wilson 20-8 and took eight corner kicks to the Phoenix's four.
- Sternini made two saves en route to his third straight shutout, while Neves recorded nine stops.
- The shutout was the 13th of Sternini's career, moving him into a tie for third in program history in career shutouts with Brian Garrahy, who had 13 from 1991-92.
