TOWSON, Md. - Junior Andres Aristimuno and first year Kaedin Jones each scored twice as the Goucher College men's soccer team topped Washington Adventist University 5-2 in non-conference action Wednesday evening at Beldon Field.
- Goucher (6-8-3) got on the board 5:45 into the game as Harryson Jean scored on a breakaway.
- Michael Adekanmbi sent a pass to Jean at the far left post, which he knocked home for his first collegiate goal.
- Just over seven minutes later, Aristimuno made it 2-0 when he bicycle kicked home a chip in front of the goal by Gustave Dalzell.
- The Shock (4-4-4) got a goal back in the 18th minute as Alessandro Peroglio scored.
- With 7:18 left before halftime, Jones scored on a pass from Anthony Ketelsen for his first collegiate goal.
- The Gophers took a 3-1 lead into intermission.
- Goucher goalie Ale Sternini made a save 1:37 into the second half.
- A minute later, Aristimuno had a shot saved by WAU goalie Gregorio Capponi.
- Aristimuno scored his second goal of the night with just under 40 minutes left, with Adekanmbi picking up his second assist.
- The Shock cut the lead to 4-2 with just under 20 minutes left on a Rodrigo Torgal tally.
- Jones closed out the scoring with 4:07 left with his second goal of the night.
- Goucher held a 17-12 shot advantage, with Washington Adventist generating seven corner kicks to the Gophers' five.
- Sternini recorded three saves, while Capponi had eight stops.
- Goucher's five goals were a season high and their most in a game since a 5-3 win over Neumann on September 5, 2022.
- Aristimuno led the Gophers with four shots.
