Gophers Drop Third Straight Since Back-to-Back Wins
TOWSON, Md. — Goucher dropped its third straight match since recording back-to-back victories over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and Lancaster Bible earlier this month when the Gophers bowed to Moravian, 9-0, at home this afternoon.
Baum, Spivey Go Down 8-5 to Morrow, Yelito at No. 1 Doubles

The Gophers (2-8, 1-5 Landmark) were able to win only five games during the doubles competition, all at No. 1 where Steve Baum (Fallston, Md./Fallston) and David Spivey (Brooklandville, Md./Park School of Baltimore) were handed an 8-5 setback by Doug Morrow and Nick Yelito.
The Greyhounds (8-4, 4-2 Landmark) took all six singles matches in straight sets. At No. 1, Kevin Holze defeated Baum 6-2, 6-2; at No. 2, Morrow recorded a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Spivey.
Moravian's Drew Shreter turned back Daniel Csete (Miami, Fla./Brewster Academy) 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3.
