Goucher Men's Tennis Begins The Eric Spangler Era At Seagull Open This Weekend

- Goucher competed in the ITA Southeast Regional at Mary Washington and defeated York (Pa.) 6-3 on October 9 in the fall.
- Slade Dumas (No. 1 singles), Brian Kane (No. 3 singles), Omosean Adebamgbe (No. 4 singles) and Joshiah Meekins (No. 5 singles) each picked up singles wins while Dumas/Kane and Elliot Diehl/Adebamgbe won at No. 1 and 2 doubles against the Spartans.
- Last year at the event, Michael Herman and Tetsuya Ota advanced to the round of 16 while Elliot Diehl, Slade Dumas, Joshiah Meekins and Frankie Mullinix lost in the round of 32.
- In doubles last season at the Seagulls Open, Ota and Jack Hodges advanced to the semifinals in doubles while Diehl and Dumas, Mullinix and Herman played to the quarterfinals.
- It will be the second-straight year the Gophers will participate in this event. It will also be a homecoming for head coach Eric Spangler, who served as an assistant coach at his alma mater (Salisbury) before accept the head coach position at Goucher.

- Goucher will play a pair of ODAC schools at Salisbury University on February 23 and 24.
- The Gophers will battle Bridgewater College of Virginia on February 23 and Virginia Wesleyan the next day.
