- Goucher College defeats Catholic University 9-0 in Landmark Conference men's tennis action on Wednesday.
- Tetsuya Ota and Michael Herman won at No. 1 doubles 8-1 while Frankie Mullinix and Elliot Diehl earned the win at No.2 doubles in a tiebreaker, 8-7 (8-6).
- Omosesan Adebamgbe and Josiah Meekins completed the doubles sweep with an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.
- Ota downed the Landmark Conference Player of the Week in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1. Slade Dumas moved into the No. 2 singles spot for a 6-1, 6-1 while Adebamgbe earned a 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 3 singles. Brian Kane won at No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-3 and Diehl took care of No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-0 while Meekins completed the 9-0 win with a 6-1, 6-1 win.
- Dumas gave up a game in a set for the first time in seven sets.

- Goucher College would like to thank seniors Elliot Diehl and Josiah Meekins for their hard work and dedication to the men's tennis program and Goucher College for the last four years. The duo has helped the Gophers to three-straight Landmark Conference Championships.
- Diehl is a York, Pennsylvania, native, who has registered a 43-26 record in singles and a 51-26 mark in doubles. In his first season with the Gophers he jumped on the scene with a 14-6 mark in singles and 16-7 record in doubles play including a 14-6 record with fellow senior Josiah Meekins. This year he is 7-1 in singles play and 8-8 in tandem play.
- Meekins is a Trenton, New Jersey native, who has posted a 23-8 record in singles and 36-14 mark in doubles play in his four years. As a sophomore he finished the year 6-2 in singles and 13-6 in doubles play while he has won all five of his singles matches and is 3-1 in doubles this season.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

- After Saturday, Goucher is on the road for its final three matches of the regular season starting Sunday at the College of New Jersey.
- The Gophers will also visit Juniata on April 20 and Harford Community College on April 27.
