Ladies and gentlemen, with today's Senior Spotlight we would like to thank a men's tennis player for his hard work and dedication to Goucher College and the men's tennis program for the last four years! This senior hails from Great Falls, Virginia, who helped Goucher to three-straight Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Championships including being named the Most Valuable Player of the conference tournament last season en route to the team's to its fourth conference crown. He finished his career with a 59-20 singles record and a 40-18 mark in doubles play and would have had a chance to become the program's all-time career leader in singles wins without COVID-19 ending the season, but finished ranked fourth in program history for career singles wins. Named to the all-conference second team for both singles and doubles last season, he registered the second-most singles wins with a 22-5 record in his sophomore campaign. A two-time Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week, he has two NCAA Division III Tournament doubles wins and one singles victory. This year he was 3-1 in singles and 2-2 in doubles and posted a thrilling 1-6, 6-4, 11-9 win against No. 40 College of New Jersey earlier this year. Majoring in communications, he is the son of Rene and Steven. Ladies and gentlemen, Slade Dumas.
