Weather Forecast Causes Postponement Of Goucher Men's Tennis Match At Catholic
BALTIMORE, Md. – Mother nature must not be a fan of Wednesday tennis. The Goucher men's tennis match, scheduled for Wednesday at Catholic, has been postponed due to impending weather coming into the DMV. Makeup date to be announced.
It marks the second time Goucher and Catholic have been postponed this season. The two teams were scheduled to play in Baltimore on March 31, but the weather postponed the match. That match will be played on Wednesday, April 21, at the Evelyn Dyke Schroedl '62 Tennis Center.
The Gophers are coming off a 6-3 win at Moravian on Sunday, and the squad will now return to action on Saturday at Drew. The match time is 1 p.m.
Slade Dumas (Great Falls, Va./Dominion) could have a chance to make Goucher history at home with the next two matches after Drew to be played at home. Dumas is one win away from tying the program all-time career singles win mark (Midiori Futijani, 64, 2013-17) and two wins away from tying the Landmark Conference record.
