Goucher Takes Down Owls in Second Match of the Day

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College Gophers (7-5 Overall; 2-0 Conference) took down the Harford Community College Owls (2-5 Overall) to secure the 5-2 victory in the second match of the double header.

The Gophers lost the doubles point, but Gabe Naftoly and Benedikt Rummel were able to win the No. 1 doubles 6-2.
Tadeo Asprella and George King were almost able to pull off the win, but fell 7-5.

Naftoly continued his winning streak of the day, pulling the No. 1 singles win 6-4, 6-4.
In the No. 3 singles, Rummel was able to pull off a close win 6-3, 7-6.
Calis Nguyen was able to win over his opponent in the No. 4 singles, winning 6-3, 6-1.
In the No. 5 singles match, George King bounced back after dropping the first set win in three (1-6, 6-1, 6-4).
Jackson Beam won in straight sets in the No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-1.

The men travel to face Moravian in the next conference matchup on Wednesday, March 26th at 4pm.
They return to the Schroedl Tennis Center to take on Drew on Saturday, March 29th at 1pm.
