Gophers Finish Conference Play Undefeated

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College men's tennis team (14-6 Overall; 9-0 Conference) took down the Wilkes University Colonels (5-9 Overall; 2-5 Conference) to finish Landmark Conference play undefeated.

The No. 1 doubles team, consisting of Benedikt Rummel and Gabe Naftoly fought through a tie breaker in a 7-6 (10-3) win.
George King and Tadeo Asprella swept the No. 2 doubles, winning 6-0.
In the No. 3 doubles, Guilherme Moraes and Jackson Beam took down their opponents 6-2.

Naftoly secured the win in the No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-0.
In the No. 2 singles, Asprella only allowed one game to win 6-1, 6-0.
Rummel won the No. 3 singles after holding off his opponent in the second set (6-1, 6-4).
Calis Nguyen swept his opponent in the No. 4 singles (6-0, 6-0).
In the No. 5 singles, King took down his opponent 6-1, 6-2.
Beam swept the No. 6 singles to secure the point (6-0, 6-0).

The men travel to Gettysburg tomorrow to play at 3:30pm, their final match of the season will come against Millersville on Saturday, April 26th at 1:00pm.
