MADISON, N.J. - Two male members of the outdoor track and field program were among the 36 student-athletes from Goucher who were recognized today by the Landmark Conference for academic accomplishments by being placed on the 2008 Spring Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.

GRANTHAM, Pa. - Goucher's Dayna Mizzer (Prince Frederick, MD/Calvert) placed ninth in a field of 15 competitors in the heptathlon that took placed yesterday and today at Messiah College.

TOWSON, Md. - Adam Scipione (Walpole, MA/Walpole) broke Goucher's outdoor record in the 3,000-meter run today, doing it in Gopher Stadium at the Goucher College Track & Field Classic.

TOWSON, Md. - Goucher's Steven Tenure (Sudbury, MA/Lincoln-Sudbury) placed fifth overall in both hurdle events today at the Towson Invitational.

CARLISLE, Pa. - A pair of freshmen set indoor school records today while competing for Goucher at the Dickinson Holiday Meet. Adam Scipione (Walpole, MA/Walpole) turned in the fastest indoor time in the history of the school's men's track and field program in the 1,000-meter run as he completed the event in 2:50.04 and in fifth place. Brendan Ference (Smallwood, NY/Monticello) established the record in the 600-meter run with his time of 1:37.59, good for 10th place.
