NEW ORLEANS, La. — Both of Goucher's track and field programs were recognized today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the academic accomplishments of the student-athletes in 2011-12.

MADISON, N.J. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its fifth year of competition and is comprised of eight like-minded institutions in the mid-Atlantic region, today recognized 204 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the 2012 Winter Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. Fifteen of the honorees are from Goucher.

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Will Evans III (Baltimore, Md./Overlea) became the first athlete from Goucher to place first in an individual event at the Landmark Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships when he was first across the finish line in the 60-meter dash at the 2011-12 meet, which was conducted today.

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Goucher's Doug Falk (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat Twp.) successfully cleared 6' to finish in first place in the high jump competition at today's Susquehanna Invitational.

CARLISLE, Pa. — Goucher scored points in eight different events today at the DuCharme Invitational, highlighted by a first-place finish by Joey Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) in the 5,000-meter run.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. — First-place performances by Joey Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) in the 3,000-meter run, Will Evans III (Baltimore, Md./Overlea) in the 55-meter dash and Doug Falk (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat Twp.) in the high jump helped Goucher finish in fourth place in the team scoring at today's Hagerstown Invitational.

MADISON, N.J. — One day after finishing in first place in the 5,000-meter run and second in the 3,000 meters, Goucher's Joey Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) today was recognized by the Landmark Conference as its Male Athlete of the Week for indoor track events for Jan. 16-22.

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Goucher's Doug Falk (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat Twp.) tied a school record he established in December 2010 as a freshman while placing first in today's high jump competition at Susquehanna's Orange & Maroon Classic.
CARLISLE, Pa. — Goucher scored 15 points in four events to finish in 10th place today at the Dickinson Invitational.

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. — Will Evans II (Baltimore, Md./Overlea) accounted for all eight points Goucher scored today at the Bow Tie Classic.

TOWSON, Md. — The 2010-11 All-Goucher Team was introduced during a ceremony this afternoon on Beldon Field prior to the women's soccer team's Landmark Conference game against Susquehanna.
