SELINGSGROVE, Pa. — Goucher earned points in three events today at the 2016 Landmark Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships.
A third-place finish by Elton Kativhu (Harare, Zimbabwe/St. Ignatius College) in the 60-meter dash brought the Gophers six points. The sophomore completed the event in 7.16 seconds, which is the third-fastest 60-meter dash time in the history of the school's indoor program.
Miles Taylor (Bowie, Md./Wakefield) collected four points when he placed fourth overall in the 60-meter hurdles. He was clocked at 9.03 seconds, the fourth-fastest time in that event in program history.
Ayinde Gittens-Smith (Laurel, Md./Fork Union Military Academy) was one of three individuals to go out at 1.83 meters (6') in the high jump. Not only did he pick up a point for winding up in sixth place, he also became only the third jumper in program history to achieve that height.
With its total of 11 points, head coach John Caslin's squad finished in seventh place at today's meet.
