While competing at the Dickinson Early Bird Invitational on Saturday, Taylor recorded the two fastest times in the 55-meter hurdles in the history of the institution's men's indoor track and field program. During the preliminaries, he broke a school record that had stood since 2008 when he completed the event in 8.54 seconds. In the finals, he lowered his time to :08.42, which was good for second place.
Taylor also took eighth place in the 400-meter run (:59.04).
