Bauer Nearly Breaks Weight Throw Record for Men’s Track & Field at Albright Invite
READING, Pa. - Sophomore Darby Bauer (Perkiomenville, Pa.) of the Goucher College men’s track & field team nearly broke the school’s all-time indoor record in the weight throw on Saturday at the Albright College Invitational, leading the Gophers on the day.

Overall, Goucher finished eighth overall in the event.
In the weight throw, Bauer finished with a 40 foot, 10.5 inch effort in the event to finish third overall. The throw was the second-best in Goucher's indoor program history, as well. He also had a high finish in the shot put, placing seventh with a toss of 36 feet, 7.3 inches.
Meanwhile, teammate and fellow sophomore Brandon Julot (Baltimore, Md.) was eighth in both the shot put and the weight throw. Julot posted a 35 foot, 9.9 inch effort in the shot put and a 28 foot, 6.5 inch mark in the weight throw, a personal best.
The Goucher College men's track & field team returns to action on Friday evening, as they travel to Susquehanna for the S.U. Challenge. Action gets underway at 4 p.m.
