Three Goucher Runners Tackle Course for Landmark Meet
ALTOONA, Pa. — Although Goucher entered only three runners in today's Juniata Invitational, it did provide them with an early look at the course on which the Landmark Conference Championships will be conducted in October.

ALTOONA, Pa. — Although Goucher entered only three runners in today's Juniata Invitational, it did provide them with an early look at the course on which the Landmark Conference Championships will be conducted in October.
The top performer for the Gophers was senior Nick Manta (North Wales, Pa./Abington Friends School), who placed 26th overall among the 78 runners who completed the 8,000-meter race at Fort Roberdeau Historic Site. Manta's time was 28:40.70, his personal best for a race of that distance.
After that, freshman Joshua Clair (Ardmore, Pa./Haverford) completed the race in 29:47.60, good for 47th place, and sophomore Zachary Byrum (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) followed in 60th place (31:12.40).
With only three runners, the Gophers did not receive a team score. ne point separated the champion and runner-up in the team scoring as Moravian placed first with 53 points and Susquehanna was second with 54.
The individual champion was Moravian's Dillon Farrell, who crossed the finish line in 26:18.00.
