Pair of Goucher Runners Crack Top 25 at Landmark Meet
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two runners from Goucher were among the top 25 finishers today at the 2013 Landmark Conference Championship as sophomore Isaac Jennings (Narberth, Pa./Harriton) and senior Hugh Geller (Devens, Mass./Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School) crossed the finish line back-to-back in 22nd and 23rd place, respectively.

Parker Charter Essential School) crossed the finish line back-to-back in 22nd and 23rd place, respectively.
As a team, the Gophers placed sixth with a team score of 165 points.
Dillon Farrell of Moravian was the individual champion for the second year in a row as he completed the 8,000-meter race conducted on the campus of the U.S. Soldiers' & Airmen's Home in 26:42.5. The runner-up was Alex Price from Susquehanna (27:01.2).
Jennings was clocked at 28:51.5 and Geller at 28:56.3.
The next Goucher runner to come after Geller was senior Matt Forgues (Boothbay, Maine/Boothbay Region), who posted a time of 30:22.3, good for 51st place. Senior Troy Browne (Springdale, Md./C.H. Flowers) followed in 60th place (30:57.1) and junior Zachary Byrum (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) was the fifth runner for the Gophers as he finished in 63rd place (31:14.5).
Susquehanna ended Moravian's two-year run as Landmark Conference champions as the Crusaders, who had five runners among the first eight finishers, earned a team score of 22 points. Juniata placed second with 55 points, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy was third (93 points) and Moravian dropped down to fourth (104). Scranton beat out head coach John Caslin's squad for fifth place by scoring 157 points. Catholic finished in seventh place (170).
