Jennings Leads Gophers to Seventh-Place Finish
TOWSON, Md. — Goucher finished in seventh place ahead of Hood, Gallaudet and Stevenson at today's Goucher Cross Country Classic. The top runner for the Gophers was junior Isaac Jennings (Narberth, Pa./Harriton), who placed 37th in a field of 82 entrants.

Jennings completed the 8,000-meter race in 30:58.86.
The next two runners from Goucher to cross the finish line were freshman Griffin Stein (Westport, Conn./Staples) and senior Zachary Byrum (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point). Stein was clocked at 31:11.20, good for 40th place, while Byrum posted a time of 31:14.53 and placed 42nd overall.
The final two runners who helped determine Goucher's team score of 236 points were freshmen Richard Decker (Voorheesville, N.Y./Clayton A. Bouton) in 65th place (34:38.70) and Dietrich Pultinas (Roxbury, Mass./Brimmer and May School) in 66th (34:41.72).
Dillon Farrell from Moravian was the first runner to cross the finish line. His winning time of 29:25.15 gave him a nearly 15-second victory over Zachary Anderson from the U.S. Naval Academy.
Four of the six schools which finished ahead of Goucher in the team standings were ones that will return next month for the Landmark Conference Men's Cross Country Championships: U.S. Merchant Marine Academy , second place with 50 points, Moravian, third place with 80 points, Juniata, fourth place with 114 points, and Catholic, fifth place with 159 points.
