O'Flaherty Lowers Time to 30:20 in Second Race
STEVENSON, Md. — Sean O'Flaherty (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) was the first Goucher runner to cross the finish line in today's Mustang Stampede as he placed 48th overall in the field of 80 runners that competed in the 8,000-meter race.

O'Flaherty was clocked at 30:20.71. The freshman took nearly 19 seconds off his time at the Delaware Valley Invitational last weekend, his first race as a colleigate runner.
Isaac Jennings (Narberth, Pa./Harriton) followed three spots back in 51st place with a time of 30:46.12.
Goucher's third runner was Liam Lanahan (Corvallis, Ore./Crescent Valley) in 54th place (31:03.74).
Schaffer Ochstein from Johns Hopkins was the overall champion. His winning time was 26:14.31.
In the final team scoring, head coach John Caslin's squad was in eighth place with 197 points.
The Gophers don't compete again until the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational on September 26.
