Gophers Edge Rangers by Eight Points for 8th Place

The Gophers finished eight points ahead of Drew in the final team standings. The Rangers earned a score of 268 points.
Goucher's top performer was freshman Sean O'Flaherty (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central), who completed the 8,000-meter race in a time of 29:53.21, good for 50th place.
The No. 2 runner was junior Liam Lanahan (Corvallis, Ore./Crescent Valley) in 71st place, five spots ahead of senior Isaac Jennings (Narberth, Pa./Harriton). Lanahan was clocked at 31:21.41 and Jennings at 32:12.09.
Collin Clarkin-Wright (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) placed 81st overall. The sophomore ran his fastest race of the season (32:47.56), taking more than seven seconds off the time he posted two weeks ago on the same course.
The fifth runner for the Gophers was freshman Jacob Givelber (Westfield, N.J./Westfield), who crossed the finish line in 36:37.54 for 93rd place.
The individual champion was Zach Trama from Elizabethtown. His winning time was 26:43.77.
The NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championships are scheduled for November 14 in Newville, Pa., and head coach John Caslin was take an undetermined number of individual runners to compete in the men's 8,000-meter race.
