Men's Cross Country Finishes Seventh at Stevenson

Running without two of their top performers, the Gophers were led by freshman Jason Higginbotham. The first-year runner tallied a 20th-place mark, crossing the line with a time of 31:56.46.
The heat played a factor during the event, as the top time across the line was 28:51.54, ran by Langston Gash of Stevenson University. Just five runners broke 30 minutes at the 8k course.
Other top time for the Gophers, included freshman Joel Nadler's 35th-place finish (34:18.16) and junior Collin Clarkin-Wright, who crossed the line 39:14.98.
Stevenson University picked up the team win, posting a total score of 20. They were then followed by Penn State-Abington and Catholic.
Goucher will be back in action on Friday, September 16, as they will compete at the Moravian College Invitational. The race, held at Bicentennial Park in Northampton, Pa. is scheduled for a 6:15 start.
