Cross Country Opens 2017 at Stevenson
The Gophers opened up their 2017 season at Stevenson University in the Mustang Stampede race. The women ran a 4k course while the men completed a 6k course.
OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Gophers opened up their 2017 season at Stevenson University in the Mustang Stampede race. The women ran a 4k course while the men completed a 6k course.
First-year Eva Bulson-Lewis (Minneapolis, Minn.) finished the 4k course first for the Gophers with a time of 18:21.02. She was quickly followed by fellow first-year, Isabel Srour (Potomac, Md.) with a time of 18:47.70).
Junior Hannah Brogan (Chatham, N.J.) and sophomore Edith Hollander (Larchmont, N.Y.) finished with a time of 19:39.88 and 21:26.75, respectively. Jennifer Alves (Goias, Brazil) ran her first race for the Gophers and posted a time of 20:16.42.
On the men's side, senior Clay Berg (Pittsboro N.C.) finished with a time of 22:54.63, followed by junior Sean O'Flaherty (Hinsdale, Ill.) at 23:20.17 on the 6k course.
The Gophers travel to Juniata College next Saturday, September 9th. The race begins at 10:30 am.
