TOWSON, Md. — The NCAA is in the midst of its third annual Division III Week, celebrating the accomplishments of the organization’s largest division. Goucher is proud to join approximately 450 Division III schools in celebrating the academic and athletic accomplishments of student-athletes, as well as their leadership, community service and campus involvement.
This week, the athletic department will take a closer look at four of the nearly 300 student-athletes at Goucher through three separate video interviews, continuing today with Hannah Kuehl (Plymouth, N.H./Plymouth Regional) from the volleyball team (video available below).
The Landmark Conference has also created a #whyd3 home page, featuring spotlights on student-athletes from the eight Landmark institutions, including Goucher’s Megan Meluskey (Wilmington, Del./Concord) and Morgan Richter (Cleburne, Texas/Cleburne). That page can be accessed by clicking here.
Goucher’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is getting involved as well, highlighting the community service qualities of D-III by hosting a “Play Day” for the children of all faculty and staff at Goucher from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. More information about the event can be found here, and a Landmark story featuring Goucher’s SAAC can be accessed here.
