Kellon, Zumbrun Head 2012-13 All-Goucher Team
TOWSON, Md. — The 2012-13 All-Goucher Team was unveiled during a ceremony on Beldon Field this afternoon prior to the men's soccer game against Scranton.
TOWSON, Md. — The 2012-13 All-Goucher Team was unveiled during a ceremony on Beldon Field this afternoon prior to the men's soccer game against Scranton.
The All-Goucher Team – now in its third year of existence – is chosen by a panel of head coaches and athletic administrators, and represents the 10 most distinguished student-athletes along with most outstanding coach during an academic year. From the voting by members of the panel comes a first team and a second team, along with the team’s captain, who was the top vote-getter.
JOEY FINK
Equestrian
Second Team
He helped Goucher’s equestrian program earn its third bid ever to the IHSA National Horse Show by placing first in intermediate equitation on the flat and second in intermediate equitation over fences at the 2013 Zone IV Championships. In individual competition in the novice division, he was the Zone IV reserve champion in the flat phase and went on to place 10th overall in novice flat at the 2013 IHSA National Horse Show.

Men's Tennis
Second Team
After compiling an 11-8 record while playing exclusive at No. 1 singles in 2012-13, this young man earned first-team All-Landmark Conference honors and was selected Rookie of the Year in the conference for the sport of men’s tennis. He and his playing partner formed one of the three doubles pairings to make All-Landmark first team last season.

Second Team
In her final season as a rider on Goucher’s equestrian team, she was the IHSA Zone IV champion in intermediate equitation on the flat and reserve champion in intermediate equitation over fences. She advanced in both phases to the IHSA National Horse Show where she placed third overall in intermediate fences and ninth in intermediate flat.
HANNAH KHIN
Women's Lacrosse
Second Team
For scoring a team-high total of 65 goals, which left her in fourth place all-time in the history of Goucher’s women’s lacrosse program with 208 career goals, she was named a first-team midfielder on the 2013 All-Landmark Team, making her one of only six players in program history to earn all-conference honors four times during her career.
LINDSEY PUOPOLO
Women's Soccer
Second Team
Only four women’s soccer players in the Landmark Conference surpassed her total of 20 points last season. Following her eight-goal, four-assist performance in 2012, she was designated a first-team midfielder on the All-Landmark Conference Team and a third-team selection at the same position on the All-Mid-Atlantic Region Division III Women’s Soccer Team.

Men's Lacrosse
First Team
He forced opposing players to make 36 turnovers last season, the highest total on the men’s lacrosse team, and he ranked second with 60 ground balls. For that, he was named a first-team defensemen on the 2013 All-Landmark Conference Men’s Lacrosse Team. He also ranks fourth all-time in the history of Goucher’s men’s lacrosse program with 99 caused turnovers.

First Team
She is the reigning Women’s Tennis Player of the Year in the Landmark Conference, a fitting award after she went 16-3 while playing exclusively at No. 1 singles for the Gophers in 2012-13. She was a first-team All-Landmark Conference selection for singles, plus she and her playing partner formed one of the three doubles pairings that were also awarded first-team all-conference honors last season.
CONNOR MISHAW
Men's Lacrosse
First Team
He’s one of only four goalkeepers in the history of Goucher’s men’s lacrosse program to surpass 600 career saves. He made 186 saves in 2013, when he also led the Landmark Conference with a .707 save percentage in conference game. He was the first-team goalkeeper on the 2013 All-Landmark Conference Men’s Lacrosse Team and was an honorable mention at that position on the 2013 USILA Division III All-America Team.
KARLI POSTEL
Equestrian
First Team
She was the reserve high point rider in IHSA Zone IV Region I in 2012-13. In the team competition at the Zone IV Championships, she was awarded first place in both the jumping and flat phases in the open division. She went on to place second in open fences and sixth in open flat in the Collegiate Cup competition at the 2013 IHSA National Horse Show, helping Goucher finish in a tie for fifth place.
JACLYN KELLON
Women's Track & Field
Captain First Team
She broke existing meet, conference, facility and school outdoor records when she completed the 400-meter hurdles in 1:03.79 and in first place at the 2013 Landmark Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships, making her Goucher’s first female track athlete to win five outdoor conference titles over the course of her career. She was also the 2013 Landmark Conference indoor champion in the 400-meter dash.
PATTE ZUMBRUN
Equestrian
Coach of the Year
Zumbrun announced in March that the 2012-13 season would be her final as the director and head coach of Goucher's equestrian program – a postion she had held since 1987. Following the announcement, the Gophers went on to finish in a tie for fifth place in the team scoring at the 2013 IHSA National Horse Show. Under her direction, Goucher's riding program claimed 11 IHSA Zone IV Region I titles during the past 11 years.
