Landmark Reveals Academic Honor Roll for Fall 2013

TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its seventh year of competition, today recognized 267 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the 2013 Fall Academic Honor Roll. Thirty of the honorees are from Goucher.

The Honor Roll recognizes all student athletes who competed in men's or women's soccer, field hockey, volleyball or men's and women's cross country and have reached sophomore standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

Of the 267 student-athletes recognized this fall, 125 are repeat honorees having been awarded in a previous year. A remarkable 43 seniors have been named to the Honor Roll all three years they have been eligible. From Goucher, the seniors who made the Fall Honor Roll for a third time were Christine Cherry (Laurel, Md./Meade) from the women's cross country team, Matt Fazekas (Potomac, Md./German School) from the men's soccer team, Tori Rain (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) from the volleyball team and Liz Weiner (New Bloomfield, Pa./West Perry) from the field hockey team.

The Honor Roll marks the first academic accolades awarded by the conference this fall. The Landmark Conference will announce the Senior Scholar Athletes next month.
