Goucher Track & Field Athlete Anna Gallina Named A Landmark Conference Athlete Of The Week
BALTIMORE, Md. – Anna Gallina (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall), a member of the Goucher College track and field team, has been named a Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week.
With the unprecedented cancellation of spring sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Landmark will be recognizing an athlete from each member institution in each conference-sponsored spring sport for the remainder of the academic year. Honorees were nominated for recognition by their respective institution.
Gallina has medaled three-times at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships including being named to the all-conference second team after finishing second in the 100m (13.07) in her junior campaign. Placing in the Top-10 at the outdoor championships seven times, Gallina won the bronze medal in the 100m (13.03) as junior and the 4x100m (51.27) as a freshman.
For the indoor season, Gallina has recorded five Top-10 finishes, medaled three times and was named to the all-conference team after placing second in the 60m (8.35) in her sophomore campaign. She also won the bronze in the 4x200m relay (1:55.24) as a sophomore and the 4x200m relay (1:54.00) as a freshman. She also earned her first individual win in the 55m at the Larry Sharpe Invitational on February 16, 2020.
