Ladies and gentlemen, with today's Senior Spotlight we would like to thank a track and field athlete for his hard work and dedication to Goucher College and the track and field program for the last four years! This senior hails from Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania, who has participated in 23 indoor meets and 21 outdoor meets in his career. He has posted two school records in his junior year and was named the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Week in his junior campaign. He became the first Gopher to register a 40m throw in the hammer at the Battlefield Relays and then tossed a program record in the discus to notch his best finish at the Landmark Conference Championships with a fifth-place standing. Majoring in music, he is the son of Kate and Don. Ladies and gentlemen, Darby Bauer.
Appeared in five events in the indoor season, but did not compete in the outdoor season due to COVID-19
Finished 11th in the weight throw with a toss of 12.08m and 12th in the shot put with a hurl of 10.98m at the Landmark Conference Championships on February 29
Placed ninth with a season-best throw of 11.03m in the shot put at the Golden Wolves Rust Buster on December 7
2018-19
Participated in six indoor meets and seven outdoor events
Named Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Week after establishing a new program record with a throw of 42.36m in the hammer throw at the Battleground Relays on April 5
Finished fifth in the discus with a program-record hurl of 38.81m at the Landmark Conference Championships on May 4
2017-18
Completed in six meets each during the indoor and outdoor seasons
Ended third in the weight throw with a toss of 12.46m at the Albright Invitational on February 10
Finished ninth in the weight throw with a throw of 12.10m at the indoor championships on February 24 and ninth in the hammer throw with a hurl of 38.80m at the outdoor championships on May 6
2016-17
Participated in six indoor meets and seven outdoor events
Recorded three Top-10 performances at the Landmark Conference Championships on May 6-7 including a sixth-place standing in the hammer throw with toss of 37.20m
Finished second in the hammer throw with a toss of 35.30m at the Mason-Dixon Invitational on April 22
Made collegiate debut at the River Hawk Opener with a fifth-place finish in the shot put (11.17m) and a sixth-place standing in the weight throw (10.64m)
