School Record Broken and Multiple Podium Finishes at the Blue & White Invite
Lancaster, Pa.- Gophers traveled to Franklin & Marshall College to compete this weekend. They had multiple podium finishes and a school record broken as they competed in the Blue and White Invite. Nehemiah Covington broke his own school record this weekend. With a weight throw of 14.33 meter he surpassed his record from earlier this season. The women's 60m had a strong first place finish by Nancy Nyadongo and another first place finish by Tanise Thornton-Fillyaw in the women's 400 meter. The womens 4x400 meter relay recieved third place ran by Tamryn Thornton-Fillyaw, Aaliyah Briddell, Amelia Venable, and Imaya Edmonds.
Emmanuel Olarewaju finishes second in the men's 400 meter and the men had a third place finish by Bradford Ferrante in the high jump. Aj Landy clinched fifth place in the men's 200 meter seventh in the 60 meter. Goucher men's 4x400 meter placed sixth ran by Olarewaju, Landy, Jayden Keels, and Jermaine Horsey.
The Gophers will be returning to action in a two day meet starting on February 14th. It will be held at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
